Das Vielfliegerprogramm der Qatar Airways, der Qatar Airways Privilege Club, hat für gewisse Statusinhaber (erneut) gute Nachrichten parat. Qatar Airways Privilege Club hat per Pressemitteilung bekanntgegeben, dass die Statusgültigkeit für Mitglieder des Privilege Club bis Ende Dezember 2022 verlängert wird. Bereits am Anfang der Pandemie, im März 2020, und dann erneut Anfang 2021, wurde der Status vom Qatar Airways Privilege Club verlängert.
Requalifikation bis Ende 2022 möglich
Diese (erneute) Statusverlängerung gilt für Silver, Gold und Platinum Mitglieder, deren Status im Zeitraum von Dezember 2021 bis Dezember 2022 verfällt und die bisher nicht ausreichend Qpoints (Statuspunkte) gesammelt haben, um sich für den vorhandenen Status zu requalifizieren. Diese Statusinhaber erhalten somit einen Aufschub bis zum 31.12.2022, um die nötigen Qpoints zu sammeln. Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker wird wie folgt zitiert:
