Hyatt zeigt sich großzügig gegenüber World of Hyatt Mitgliedern, welche nicht stornierbare und im Voraus bezahlte Buchungen vorgenommen haben und ihren Aufenthalt angesichts der aktuellen Corona Krise nicht antreten möchten. Als Zeichen des guten Willens erhalten Mitglieder des World of Hyatt Treueprogramms 10.000 Punkte für jeden stornierten Aufenthalt. Die Kompensation gibt es für alle vor dem 08.03.2020 gebuchten Aufenthalte, die im Zeitraum bis Juni 2020 stattfinden.
10.000 Hyatt Punkte für nicht stornierbare Buchungen – Die Details
Angesichts der aktuellen Lage im Zusammenhang mit dem Corona Virus, erlaubt Hyatt bereits die kostenlose Stornierung aller gebuchten Hotelaufenthalte in China, Südkorea, Japan und Italien bis zum 31.03.2020. Ebenso wird Gästen mit einem Wohnsitz in einem dieser besonders stark betroffenen Länder die Stornierung von Hotelaufenthalten weltweit ermöglicht.
“As a reminder, to provide additional flexibility to our guests with travel plans in countries with severe travel restrictions, Hyatt is waiving cancellation fees for stays through March 31, 2020 for the following:
- Guests residing in Greater China, South Korea, Japan and Italy with reservations at Hyatt hotels globally
- Guests with reservations at Hyatt hotels in Greater China, South Korea, Japan and Italy
Guests who booked via online travel agents or other third parties are advised to contact their booking provider for information on their policies and for assistance.”
In einer Email an World of Hyatt Teilnehmer hat das Programm nun angekündigt, Gästen entgegenzukommen und nicht stornierbare und bereits im Voraus bezahlte Buchungen im Falle eines Nichtantritts mit 10.000 World of Hyatt Punkten zu entschädigen. Die Anzahl der zu erhaltenen Hyatt Punkte ist dabei weder an die Länge des Aufenthalts noch an den ursprünglichen Preis des Hotels geknüpft. Diese Ausnahmeregelung gilt für alle 17 World of Hyatt Hotelmarken und alle 900+ Hotels weltweit.

To help guests, World of Hyatt is now extending special exceptions for all Advance Purchase Rate non-refundable reservations made directly with Hyatt on or before March 8, 2020 for travel through June 2020. If interested, guests holding these fully prepaid reservations who have decided not to travel may opt to receive 10,000 World of Hyatt Bonus Points compensation in lieu of their stay to use toward future travel at any of our 900+ hotels across 17 brands globally. Guests must contact us at least 48 hours before their stay to elect this (World of Hyatt Explorists and Globalists must contact us at least 24 hours before their stay dates to elect this). Um von diesem Angebot Gebrauch zu machen, muss World of Hyatt per Telefon oder Email kontaktiert werden. Unserer Einschätzung nach sind World of Hyatt Punkte im Schnitt ca. 1,5 Cent pro Punkt wert, sodass 10.000 Punkte immerhin einem Gegenwert von 150 Euro entsprechen. Bei kurzen Aufenthalten in den etwas günstigeren Hotels der Kette handelt es sich dabei also durchaus um eine hohe indirekte Entschädigung. Bei längeren Aufenthalten und teureren Hotels fallen die Punkte dagegen weniger ins Gewicht. Möglicherweise bietet es sich hier an, die Entwicklungen weiter im Auge zu behalten.
