Mit dem Ziel Passagiere besser vor einer Ansteckung im Flugzeug zu schützen hat Delta die Installation von antimikrobiellen LEDs für Flugzeug-WCs angekündigt. Die ersten LEDs vom Hersteller Vyv sollen Mitte November in Flugzeugen des Typs 757-200 zum Einsatz kommen und werden sich über dem Waschbecken befinden. Vyv nutzt Licht im sichtbaren Spektrum (statt UV-Licht), um Keime abzutöten.
