Der British Airways Club hat erstmals seit vielen Jahren wieder einen Award Sale aufgelegt. Für kurze Zeit lassen sich British Airways Economy Class Prämienflüge auf der Kurz- und Langstrecke sowie Business Class Prämienflüge auf der Kurzstrecke mit bis zu 40 Prozent Rabatt buchen. Während der Buchungszeitraum zwar sehr kurz ist, erstreckt sich der Reisezeitraum bis Mitte Februar 2026.

Der British Airways Club Award Sale gilt ausschließlich für Prämienflüge mit British Airways. Es werden Economy Class Prämienflüge auf der Lang- und Kurzstrecke sowie Business Class Prämienflüge auf der Kurzstrecke rabattiert. Zwar sind laut Konditionen nur Flüge von London mit einem Rabatt versehen, doch in der Praxis gilt dieser auch für Flüge nach London. Während die Buchung in den kommenden Tagen erfolgen muss, kann der eigentliche Flug bis zum 11. Februar 2026 erfolgen. Ein etwa zweiwöchiger Zeitraum um Weihnachten und den Jahreswechsel ist von der Aktion ausgeschlossen.
British Airways wirbt mit einem Rabatt von “bis zu 40 Prozent”. Aufgrund des mit zahlreichen Ausnahmen versehenen British Airways Club Awardcharts lässt sich diese Angabe auf die Schnelle kaum nachvollziehen. Für Prämienflüge zwischen Deutschland und London konnten wir den 40 Prozent Rabatt jedoch problemlos finden. Der reduzierte Preis wird angezeigt, ohne dass auf die Aktion hingewiesen wird.
Beispiel: Einen British Airways Economy Class Prämienflug von Frankfurt nach London in der Hauptreisezeit konnten wir für 3.150 statt 5.250 Avios finden. Hinzu kommen 23 Euro Steuern und Gebühren. Ebenso war ein British Airways Business Class Prämienflug von Frankfurt nach London in der Hauptreisezeit für 5.850 statt 9.750 Avios zu finden. Hinzu kommen 42 Euro Steuern und Gebühren.

British Airways Club Award Sale – Fazit
British Airways Economy und Business Class Prämienflüge innerhalb Europas sind dank niedriger Avios-Preise und niedriger Zuzahlungen bereits ohne Rabatt ein sehr guter Deal. Mit 40 Prozent Rabatt lohnt sich eine Buchung umso mehr. Für Langstreckenflüge in der British Airways Economy Class sollte man angesichts hoher Zuzahlungen auf vielen Strecken genau prüfen, ob sich eine Buchung lohnt.
