Im Oktober 2024 hat die lettische Fluggesellschaft airBaltic ihren 29. Jahrestag gefeiert. airBaltic wurde im Herbst 1995 durch ein Joint Venture zwischen dem lettischen Staat und SAS gegründet. Am 1. Oktober führte 1995 airBaltic dann den ersten Linienflug von Riga nach Stockholm durch.
