Der Noida International Airport, 80 Kilometer südlich von Delhi gelegen, soll am 15. Juni 2026 offiziell den Betrieb aufnehmen. In der ersten Phase verfügt der von Flughafen Zürich AG entwickelte Flughafen über eine Start- und Landebahn sowie ein modernes Terminal mit Fokus auf Effizienz und kurze Wege. Den Auftakt im Linienverkehr übernimmt IndiGo, gefolgt von Akasa Air und Air India Express. Der Flughafen soll künftig eine wichtige Rolle im Luftverkehr der Region Delhi spielen und den bestehenden Indira Gandhi International Airport entlasten. Langfristig ist ein Ausbau auf bis zu zwei Pisten und eine Kapazität von 70 Millionen Passagieren jährlich geplant.
