Info: Die Aktionsseite wirbt mit einem 50 USD Gutschein. Tatsächlich gibt es aber Punkte, die für einen Gutschein eingelöst werden können, aber nicht müssen.
Im Gegensatz zu vergleichbaren Aktionen dieser Art hat die neue Choice Promo Verwirrungspotential. Versprochen werden mindestens 5.000 aber maximal 8.000 Bonuspunkte nach zwei Aufenthalten im Aktionszeitraum. Dabei wird die Anzahl der regulär und ohne die Aktion gesammelten Basispunkte als Grundlage für die Höhe der Bonuspunkte-Gutschrift herangezogen.
“Nach dem zweiten bonusfähigen Aufenthalt erhalten registrierte Mitglieder mindestens 5.000 bis maximal 8.000 Bonuspunkte. Die Anzahl der Bonuspunkte hängt davon ab, wie viele Basispunkte mit den 2 separaten bonusfähigen Aufenthalten gesammelt wurden, Punkte variieren von Hotel zu Hotel. Die Summe der Basispunkte plus Bonuspunkte beträgt jedoch mindestens 8.000 Punkte.”
Ziel der Promo scheint es zu sein die Gesamtzahl der gesammelten Punkte auf mindestens 8.000 Punkte aufzurunden, gleichzeitig aber mindestens 5.000 Bonuspunkte zu vergeben. Zwei Beispiele verdeutlichen das Prinzip:
Beispiel 1: Ihr sammelt mit Aufenthalt 1 1.000 Basispunkte und mit Aufenthalt 2 1.500 Basispunkte. Ihr erhaltet 5.500 Bonuspunkte und kommt somit auf 8.000 Punkte insgesamt.
Beispiel 2: Ihr sammelt mit Aufenthalt 1 2.000 Basispunkte und mit Aufenthalt 2 4.000 Basispunkte. Ihr erhaltet 5.000 Bonuspunkte und kommt somit auf 11.000 Punkte insgesamt.
Natürlich müsst ihr euch für die Promo anmelden, um von den zusätzlichen Punkten profitieren zu können. Die einzige Bedingung ist, dass ihr vor dem Check-Out für die Aktion registriert sein müsst. Wann das Hotel gebucht wurde ist dagegen unerheblich. Abschließend die Terms & Conditions der Aktion:

Qualifying Channel: Members must book stays via ChoiceHotels.com, the Choice Hotels® mobile app, or 800.4CHOICE. Stays directly booked through Book by Google are also eligible, if the member adds their Choice Privileges number to the reservation prior to check-in. Corporate travelers may book through their online booking tool, GDS, or with a travel agent; however, reservations booked through Egencia’s Preferred Rate Program do not qualify for promotional bonus points. Choice Privileges member number must be provided upon check-in. To be eligible to earn bonus points, members must set their earning preference to Choice Privileges points in their online account. Any change made to earning preference will remain in effect after the promotion has ended unless the member changes it. Allow 72 hours from check-out for points to post. Request for bonus points made by members who did not register for the promotion will only be considered up to 60 days after the promotion ends; request thereafter will be automatically denied.
Registered members will be awarded a minimum of 5,000 to a maximum of 8,000 bonus points after the second qualifying stay. The number of bonus points awarded depends on the number of base points earned from the two separate qualifying stays, with points varying by hotel. The total of base points plus bonus points awarded, however, will be at least 8,000 points, which is the number of points required to redeem for a $50 gift card from participating retailers. A selection of gift cards is available at the discounted redemption rate of 8,000 points from 03/27/2023 through 06/30/2023. Members will have 60 days after the promotion ends to redeem their points for a $50 gift card at the reduced point level. Wir setzen den Wert eines Choice Privileges Punktes mit ca. 0,6 EUR-Cent an. Eine zusätzliche Gutschrift von 8.000 Punkten hat damit einen Wert von in etwa 48 Euro. Da diese nach erst nach zwei Aufenthalten erzielt werden kann, ermöglicht euch die obige Aktion einen effektiven Rabatt in Höhe von bestenfalls ca. 24 Euro pro Nacht.
